Hurry, Get Your Facebook FBML Tab Before It’s Too Late!
Hurry. Time is running in out for you to get your FBML tab for your fan page.
On March 11, 2011 Facebook will no longer allow you to create a FBML tab for your fan page. Which means you need to do it NOW!
If you already have one then no sweat, as Facebook is going to keep all existing FBML tabs as is and WILL NOT take them away.
But after March 11 you’ll have to create new tabs using iFrames. More on that in a later post.
What’s that you say? You don’t really know what an FBML tab is and why you should care? An FBML (Facebook Markup Language) tab allows you to create a tab on your fan page that you can customize with just about anything you want. And, you can have multiple FBML tabs.
Want to get more “likes” for your fan page?
A really powerful and neat feature of FBML tabs is that you can send people directly to a tab of your choice that tells people what you’re all about, instead of sending people directly to your messy wall and having them have to sort through your conversations to figure out what you’re all about.
Here’s an example:
Note: (If you’ve already liked my page you won’t see my FBML Welcome tab unless you click on it. But, if you haven’t liked my page yet you’ll land on it)
In fact, that’s just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what you can do with FBML tabs.
So what are you waiting for? Get yours now!
